We are pleased to welcome back to the East End Chefs Series, Chef Marco Barilla, chef and owner of Insatiable Eats in Southampton. Many will remember his two other appearances on our program

This month, Chef Marco will treat us to the food from his hometown of Messina, Sicily.  He will start with a appetizer of Eggplant, tomatoes, capers, olives in a agrodolce sauce. Next he will present a special pasta with tomato, basil, fried eggplant and oven dried ricotta.  For dessert he chose a semi- frozen lemon and strawberry dessert (similar to sorbet or Italian ice.)

The Hamptons GLBT Center will welcome author Paul Novello on Friday, April 25, from 6-8 p.m.. Author of the inspirational book, Unshattered Dreams, Paul Novello talks about having a difficult childhood, facing those challenges, and trying to live a happy and successful life. Paul says that we face these issues because we may still be struggling with the aftermath of what we have endured. He encourages the reader to imagine that life would be like if we could break free so that we can fulfill our heart’s desires. This book guides us on a journey that will inspire us to transcend our troubled paths. Paul Novello, L.C.S.W., C.L.C, B.C.C. is an author, therapist and life coach in New York City. As a highly sought-after coach and consultant, Paul has worked with numerous organizations, including Fortune 500 financial firms, law firms, health care companies, small businesses, and non-profit organizations. Copies of the book may be purchased through the church office at the discounted price of $15.00 per copy.  The presentation will take place in the chapel at Old Whalers' Church. One Great hour of Sharing - Posted On: Wednesday, April 09, 2014

The One Great Hour of Sharing Offering will be received throughout Lent. Through abundant and generous gifts to the One Great Hour of Sharing Offering (OGHS), Presbyterians have, for many years, faithfully heeded God’s call to serve those seeking to reclaim and restore their lives through three denominational programs: Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Fund, the Presbyterian Hunger Program and the Self Development of People Program of the Presbyterian Church (USA) receives part of their funding from OGHS. This program affirms the dignity of all by assisting in the empowerment of economically poor, oppressed, and disadvantaged people. We will have the opportunity to learn more about all of these programs during Lent. OGHS coin banks are available in the church office  and special OGHS offering envelopes are in the pews. Thank you in advance for your generous support of this life-changing and life saving offering.
