|Bible Study - Posted On: Friday, September 27, 2013| MONDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY GROUP :
Our first study of the fall is , “The Red Letters: The Words of Jesus for Today’s World.” It's about time we take Jesus seriously." -Tony Campolo The Red Letters is a six-segment DVD series of conversations featuring Tony Campolo as he endeavors, in his unique and compelling style, to draw viewers' focus to the words and teachings of Jesus Christ - the “red letters” in some versions of the Bible - particularly in regard to social issues. The message in those red letters is radical, to say the least. Jesus' words in the Sermon on the Mount suggest an 'upside-down Kingdom' and challenge our notions of what Christianity is and how we live it out in today's world. The social issues and values addressed in The Red Letters include taking care of the poor, finding justice for the oppressed, spreading the Gospel and loving one's enemies. Each week Campolo challenges complacency, and asserts that these are the issues that Jesus spoke of directly, and therefore these issues should be the priorities of God's people.
|Pew Project - Posted On: Friday, April 26, 2013| PEW PROJECT
Have you noticed a major improvement in the sanctuary? Over the past few weeks, all of the pew doors and panels on the center aisle have been repaired, sanded, primed, painted and re-installed. This much needed work was made possible by money donated to the Building Maintenance Fund. The Session allocated funds to begin the project. The center aisle is now complete. In order for the project to continue, we are seeking donation from members and friends. Any special donations toward the completion of this project would be greatly appreciated. Simply earmark your check or donation "Pew Project" and place it in the offering tray or mail to the church office.

If you have ever given any thought to ringing in the bell choir or singing in the choir NOW is the perfect time to join! We will be starting to work on all of our music for the fall and could use some additional ringers and singers.
Those interested in singing in the choir should speak with Dominick Abbate, choir director and anyone wishing to ring with the bell choir should speak to director David Cummings.
